Sid & Pauline met in Spain in 2002 where they embarked in the first of their many adventures. Over their 20+ years together they have sampled living in coastal towns and the countryside of Spain, the hustle and bustle of Gibraltar and now, in their retirement, have relocated to a wonderful peaceful lifestyle set deep in the countryside of Southern Portugal - a place they love so much that they thought it would be good to share it with others, who like themselves, enjoy a peaceful rural escape!

Sid (who’s always got a good story to tell!) followed an extensive career in radio broadcasting and production with The British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS) which took him to various corners of the world including The Falklands, Cosovo, Cyprus and Gibraltar. Latterly he achieved his life-long ambition by having his own popular local radio station in Southern Spain.

Pauline followed her childhood dream of becoming a hairdresser embarking on a lifelong career which has lasted over 30 years. Her career starting in Mayfair, London and her dedication, hard work and experience took her to various corners of the world teaching others and led her finally to Gibraltar where she assisted in setting up a Hair & Beauty Academy.

Now Sid & Pauline are at the age to take their feet off the fast peddle and go to the cruise mode… but not on a boat!! Although there is a river at the bottom of their land!!  

Sharing both their love of the countryside and the relaxed friendly lifestyle of Portugal, they decided to throw caution to the wind and embark on their final adventure. 

So they went in search and found their peace haven and thought it was such a lovely place they would share it!
